• Within the framework of his project research, Assoc. Prof. Seyfi Kenan worked at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. between November 2-13 and gave a lecture titled "Education, Administrative Discipline and the Rise of the Modern State in the Ottoman Empire" at George Mason University on November 12. Click for pictures.

• On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, a training session was held in the context of Professional Development of Instructors on Teaching with Tablet Assistance as a requirement of the E-type Project carried out by our Department Head Office, and the Tablet computer and its accessories were distributed to our instructors at the Department Meeting held afterwards. • On September 12, 2014, some of the 27 research assistants of our department had the opportunity to discuss their work before their "book project presentations" over lunch. Click for pictures.

• "Assoc. Prof. Seyfi Kenan, within the framework of comparative cultural and intellectual history, participated in the symposium titled "Ottoman Empire and European Theater" held at the Don Juan Archiv in Vienna on June 5-6, 2014 and the "Ottoman Roundtables-II: Sefâretnâmes Edition Project: Continuation Aspects as European Union Project" as a discussant." • Within the scope of the Erasmus Intensive Program project: 'Play, Toys and Culture' project carried out by the lecturers of our department with their students, our students made presentations named 'Istanbul' and 'Traditional Turkish Toys and Games', and Esra Molu made presentations named 'Marmara University' and 'Play, Toys and Culture in Socialization Process'.
